The experience sharing session, "Developing Your Career as a Global Engineer" has been successfully organized by IEM-USM Student Section on 20th March 2019. The invited speaker was Micheal Yap Wern Yian, a senior engineer from Perunding YAA Sdn Bhd. Micheal is an civil engineer with varied experience in tunnel design, geotechnical ground investigation and structural  design projects. He has more than 10 years working experience including working in the United Kingdom. 

A bonding and interaction day was successfully organized by IEM-USM Student Section at Tokun Hill, Bukit Mertajam on 9 March 2019 for committee members session 2018/2019. A total of 14 committee members and an advisor participated in this event. Every participants enjoyed themselves in this event very much.

IEM-USM Student Section has successfully organized 19 events covering various projects such as technical trips, industrial visits, guest lectures, workshop, competitions and sport in the year 2018. The organized events are either at university level, national level or international level. Special gratitude goes to IEM-USM Student Section Executive Council Session 2017/2018 and Session 2018/2019 for their hard works and efforts.
