Alumni Sharing Session: Talk on BIM using Revit
Four IEM-USM Student Section members from the School of Civil Engineering participated “Introducing and Demonstrating Earthquake Engineering Research for Schools (IDEERS) 2016” in Taipei from 7 to 11 September 2016. This program was held at the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE).
USM team has been ranked 14th out of 49 teams from 12 different countries in the college category. The constructed model can sustain 700 gal simulated earthquake ground acceleration. Four students participated in the program are Kua Chin Tong (leader), Alexander Yeo Ming Ming, Chiew Chang Chyau and Lee Kenth Zheng. The trip was led by the advisor, Dr. Lau Tze Liang. The whole trip was sponsored by Ar. Ooi Kooi Keat.
Apart from the competition, the team had also joined a technical visit to Longteng Broken Bridge, Chelungpu Fault Preservation Park and 921 Earthquake Museum of Taiwan.
