IEM-USM Student Section has successfully conducted a technical visit to IEM-UNMC Student Section in Semenyih and Univ360 Place in Seri Kembangan on April 21. A total of 25 participants from USM have joined this visit.
A total of 30 students from Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering participated in this industrial visit on April 11. SAM Aviatron (M) Sdn Bhd is located on a 150,000 square feet facility at the Penang Science Park in Bukit Minyak. It produces nacelle major machined parts fro Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus 350. Students were briefed by the plant manager before proceed to the plant tour.
On 11th April 2018, IMechE USM Student Chapter Section in collaboration with IEM-USM Student Section has successfully hold a technical visit to Motorola Solutions (Malaysia) located at Bayan Lepas, Penang. There are 20 mechanical engineering students and one lecturer participated this visit.
IEM-USM Student Section, together with USM ASCE Student Chapter, have successfully organised a 2D1N trip to Kuala Lumpur on 2 and 3 April 2018. A total of 30 civil engineering students have participated in this trip. The trip included visit to Putrajaya Dam and Sri Empangan Bridge, construction site in Bukit Jalil and KVMRT Project Gallery. This is the first time of event in collaboration with USM ASCE Student Chapter for IEM-USM Student Section.
