Technical Visit to Motorola Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd
On 11th April 2018, IMechE USM Student Chapter Section in collaboration with IEM-USM Student Section has successfully hold a technical visit to Motorola Solutions (Malaysia) located at Bayan Lepas, Penang. There are 20 mechanical engineering students and one lecturer participated this visit.
During the technical visit, the students exposed to a brief introduction of Motorola Solutions (Malaysia) and visited their Audio, RP and Display Lab. Motorola Solutions (Malaysia) is not only a radio company, but they provide fully-integrated communications solutions, complete with the software, applications, systems, accessories and services. The students 1to have a look in the advance 3-D printing technology used by Motorola Solutions in producing a prototype of two-way radio and other related products. They are also expert in image processing, frequency tuning, noise reduction and up to every details of the product for better quality and durability.
In short, this technical visit has definitely fulfilled the objective which to expose those undergraduates to the real world of working environment and replenish the discovery of knowledge with application of it to the consumers’ products and services.
